Best way to reverse chronic illness and get more energy

  • Do you find it difficult to lose weight or keep it off?
  • Are you overweight or out of shape?
  • How’s your energy level?

Do you get out of bed each morning energized and feel strong, vibrant, and alert whole day? Or you drag yourself out of bed and suffer from fatigue, irritability, or poor concentration?

How is your overall level of health? Are you free of pains and distressing illnesses?

Or you suffer from a chronic disorder that just doesn’t go away, such as allergies arthritis.

Do you have indigestion, low blood sugar, cardiovascular problems, headaches, depression, or frequent infections?

If you have any of these symptoms, chances are you are undernourished. For many of my clients, undernourishment is very common, even if they think they eat “correctly”. Obesity, for example, is a sign of undernourishment. My overweight clients are literally starving for nutrients to satisfy their hunger and normalize their metabolism. Even if they are eating only the highest quality healthy foods, they very deficient in the vital nutrients their body needs to work properly.

Fortunately, our body always lets us know when we are not feeding it correctly. The symptoms we experience are the signals that our body sends us, telling us that it needs to be supported with energy that matched our metabolism.

If you want to enhance or maintain your health, there is no substitute for eating according to your metabolic type. Regardless of your current physical health, knowing your metabolic type is the first step in start enjoying a life full of vibrant health and fitness, and free of the degenerative illnesses that disturb many people in developed countries.

What’s Your Metabolic Type?

The three metabolic types are Protein Type, Carbo Type, and Mixed Type. Once you identify your metabolic type and the diet that is right for you, you can modify your diet, enjoy abundant energy, and extend your life!

You and your family member might both be Protein Types, which means vegetarian-based diets and carbohydrates will not be the best food for you. But even though you both need to eat protein and restrict carbohydrates, he/she might require heavier proteins and be more reactive to carbohydrates, such as sugars and starches.

Even though you were born with a specific set of dietary requirements dictated by your genetics, your needs can shift for a number of reasons, such as stress, illness, exercise or nutrient deficiencies. Your diet is highly individualized and it is constantly changing. That’s why I energy test foods and fine-turn their diet while we work together.

When we complete their blood tests and determine their metabolic type, we can fine-tune their diet. They know exactly what kinds of foods are compatible with their body chemistry. We determine what foods energize them, make them feel great, and support their health over the longer term. They learn the secrets of combining macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, and fats) in the specific proportions that are just right for them. Learning exactly what foods to choose and exactly how to combine them is of fundamental importance for eating according to your metabolic type. The list below gives you a brief synopsis or preview of the three general metabolic types and the diets that correspond to each category.

PROTEIN METABOLIC TYPE

If you are a Protein Type, it means your cells metabolize carbohydrates too quickly and your body relies on glycolysis for energy (fast oxidizer). The parasympathetic branch of your autonomic nervous system is stronger and more dominant than the sympathetic branch. Protein Types require a high protein intake in order to strengthen their sympathetic system and balance their slow metabolism. They need high protein to slow down their rapid cellular oxidation rate.

  • High protein
  • Heavy, fatty,
  • High-purine proteins
  • High fats and oils
  • Low carbohydrates
  • Metabolic Imbalance: fast oxidizer or parasympathetic dominant

CARBO METABOLIC TYPE

If you are a Carbo Type, you need a higher percentage of carbohydrates in your diet in order to strengthen the parasympathetic branch of your nervous system. You need to consume more carbohydrates in your diet in order to speed up your naturally slow cellular oxidation rate and acidify your too-alkaline metabolism.

  • Low protein
  • Light, lean, low-purine proteins
  • Low fats and oils
  • High carbohydrates
  • Metabolic Imbalance: slow oxidizer or sympathetic dominant

MIXED METABOLIC TYPE

If you’re a Mixed Type, you combine the other two types. You need to eat a mixture of foods that will support both sides of your autonomic nervous system – both your sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Since your cellular oxidation rate is neither fast nor slow, you need to eat a mixture of foods so that you will not create a one-sided effect that speeds up or slows down your cellular oxidation rate.

  • Mixture of high-fat, high-purine proteins and low-fat
  • Low-purine proteins
  • Requires equal ratios of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates
  • Metabolic Imbalance: neither fast nor slow oxidizer neither parasympathetic nor sympathetic dominant

These 3 metabolic types provide a starting point that will enable you to customize your diet and eat in alignment with your body’s nutritional needs.

October 2019 Mercury Retrograde

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio:  October 31- November 20, 2019

The last Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio occurred in October of 2014.

What Does Mercury Retrograde Mean?

Some planetary cycles are good for moving ahead, but the Mercury Retrograde cycle is not that case.

Mercury rules all types of communication, including speaking, learning, reading, researching, negotiating, listening, editing, selling, and buying. It also rules all formal contracts and agreements, as well as important documents such as agreements, deeds, book manuscripts or term papers, contracts, leases, and wills. Computer codes, shipping, transportation, and travel is also under this planet’s domain. When Mercury retrogrades, these areas tend to get scrambled or go out of control.

Weird things happen during the Mercury retrograde. For example, you may suddenly discover that you were sold a defective phone or other electronic device or even a house.

Mercury Retrograde begins and ends with a Shadow Period (see more below). These periods have the main theme of miscommunication and misunderstandings, or poorly planned contracts and purchases. It is time to avoid making long-term commitments and decisions.

Retrogrades are to be used as a review time and analysis of your past actions.
This period could be a good time to revise your ideals, to review your circle of friends, to reorganize your office, or to revision some aspects related to an association or organization you are part of.

If Mercury retrogrades in a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces), you must rely on your intuitive abilities. Logic, facts, and research may say one thing, but your intuition tells you to follow your inner guidance and to choose something else. If you chose to follow this rule, you will learn that your emotional intelligence is more reliable. When Mercury retrogrades in your water sign, it’s an instant signal to start listening to that inner voice within.

Phases of Mercury Retrograde

Note: As Mercury is slowing down and is close to changing direction, there tends to be a stronger effect on the Earth and its all living creatures.

  • Mercury Retrograde of 2019 begins the Pre-Shadow in Scorpio (11o 35″) on October 11, 2019 at 10:49 pm UT, 6:49 pm EDT, 3:49 pm PDT.
  • Mercury goes Retrograde in Scorpio (27o 38″) on October 31, 2019 at 3:41 pm UT, 11:41 am EDT and 8:41 am PDT.
  • The Direct Station occurs in Scorpio (16o 06″) on November 20, 2019 at 7:12 pm UT, 2:12 pm EST and 11:12 am PST.
  • Mercury ends the Post-Shadow on December 7, 2019 at 5:55 pm UT, 12:55 pm EST and 9:55 am PST.

1. Pre-Shadow Phase

As Mercury proceeds in its forward motion, it enters the region where it will later retrograde or appear to go backward. This preparation period of time is referred to as the Mercury Pre-Shadow Phase. It’s during this phase incorrect assumptions, unfortunate short-cuts or lack of attention to details happen that are later amplified and revealed as Mercury goes retrograde.

2. Stationary Phase

There is a moment in time when Mercury has slowed down from moving forward and is about to move backward. That time is referred to as the Mercury Stationary Phase and its the beginning of the Mercury Retrograde. This is the most intense part of the retrograde cycle that often impacts many communication and social media channels (for example as 2019 Facebook and goggle outages).

3. Retrograde Phase

This is a period when for about three and a half weeks or so, Mercury appears to be going backward (retrograde). False assumptions, mistakes, and unfortunate ‘short-cuts’ are often revealed during this time. During this time it’s important to check and recheck the details of important matters. For many people and organizations, transportation and communication issues may develop.

4. Direct Phase

Towards the end of the retrograde phase, Mercury has reached a place in its orbit where it begins to move in the same direction as the earth around the sun. The moment Mercury appears to stop moving backward and is about to move forward is called the Mercury Direct Phase. As much as the Mercury Retrograde Phase discussed above, it tends to be a period of errors, false assumptions, lack of clarity and proper execution.

5. Post-Shadow Phase

During the Post-Shadow Phase, as Mercury appears to move forward again, it passes through the part of the sky where it had previously gone backward. During the early part of this phase, Mercury is still moving slowly, and thus the effects are still intense. People and organizations may still experience this phase when the consequences of not paying attention to details or asking the right questions become apparent.

Activation of the Fear Gates

On top of this retrograde, the Sun is currently going through the Fear gates of the Splenic Center. Because of this, the last week of October can bring up a fear of taking responsibility and avoidance defining your values. This week can also bring a fear of rejection due to a corrupted value system.

Here are the questions to ask yourself this week:

  • Where do I take too little responsibility for myself and/or others?
  • Where do I have a careless attitude and not taking responsibility for my own actions?
  • How do my actions impact others?
  • Do I sacrifice my values in exchange for a quick win/sale that doesn’t benefit both parties?
  • Do I have boundaries in place to protect my values (around work, business or family)?
  • Where do I take on too much responsibility that wasn’t mine?

The Impact of the Retrograde in Scorpio

Scorpio is the 8th house of the zodiac. The 8th house in Astrology is ruled by the sign of Scorpio and planet Pluto. It’s associated with sex, death and rebirth, inheritance, research, psychology, secrets, transformation, trauma, chronic health problems, and other people’s money. It rules legacies, inheritances, and wills. It’s also connected with conscious magic and mysticism. Scorpio is the great teacher of the mysteries of life and existence. It is the realm of transformative experiences.

Scorpio is a water sign, which represents deep sentiment and emotional vulnerability. However, still waters run deep with Scorpio people, as they are unlikely to reveal their deep feelings.  Because Scorpio is a fixed sign, these people have a tendency to be stubborn and intense.

With Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, it also influences its opposite sign of the Human Design Wheel – Taurus. Intense speech stemming from frustration can arise as a result. For example, you can feel an urgency to get things done to resolve a challenging situation. It’s vital to be mindful of how your communication is delivered.

Here is the checklist to help you double-check the quality of your communication:

  • Was the intended message received on the other end?
  • Was there misinterpretation or miscommunication?
  • Did the right audience receive my message?

Retrogrades assume renewal, repetition, and revision of past situations.

Pause and think before you speak, write, text, or tweet.  With Mercury also controlling the intellect, it may take longer than usual to get clarity on situations.

Because Mercury also governs commerce, it’s able to use its intellect and versatility to create business opportunities for itself. However, retrograde is not a good period to start new business partnerships.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio may bring lies and actions that breach the moral and social rules, reminding us that we need to make peace with some people, with our actions from the past, and to be honest with ourselves in order to align with our fate.

You may discover things that were forgotten or ignored, thinking that these issues will get solved on their own or will stay forever hidden. This is not the case during the retrograde – things that were hidden will be revealed and amplified!

Tips to Manage This Mercury Retrograde

Here are my tips on what you can do to minimize the negative influence of this retrograde:

  • Try not to make any important moves during this period. Nothing will be settled successfully for the future during this time. You will find it hard to develop a solid plan or take action.
  • During a retrograde period, it is hard to get decisions from others. Even if a decision is made, it will be changed either just after Mercury turns to direct or much later.
  • This period would not be the right time to do anything involving communications, such as launch a website or an advertising campaign.
  • Retrograde is also considered a poor time to begin any new endeavors, even if they are not related to communication.
  • Don’t sign any contracts or even to shake hands on any new agreements.
  • Do not close on a house nor sign a lease. Verbal agreements are considered the same as written ones. The environment will be changeable and unstable no matter what you are told or what you think. Wait until the retrograde period is over, ideally, it would be after November 25.
  • If you do buy something expensive, such as a car, computer, or jewelry, for example, you may regret your purchase later. Don’t buy or sell anything expensive during this period. I rescheduled my closing date to November 25 to avoid unanticipated problems.
  • Pay particular attention to Wednesdays, the day associated with Mercury
  • Do not sign any legal agreements or contracts, as there is the likelihood that the contracts may have to be revised or that they will not go through
  • Avoid new business and personal partnerships
  • Double-check all your written and verbal communication
  • Request delivery receipts on postal mail and important emails
  • Take care of any overdue health care checkups
  • Allocate time to support your nervous system and digestion
  • Take steps to support your memory, as well as improve your speech and cognitive function
  • Don’t make any life-altering decisions until after Mercury turns direct (after November 25). If you must, get a second opinion.
  • Eat green mung beans (the lentil associated with Mercury).
  • Allocate to relax and detach yourself from mental activity.
  • Avoid intense emotions situations and always pause before reacting to someone/something who triggers it.

On March 14, 2019, we had the largest 14-hour Facebook and Instagram outage that happened during Mercury Retrograde. Tens of thousands of people were unable to access their Instagram and Facebook accounts. This was the largest failure in the 15-year history of Facebook. This outage also affected Facebook’s apps, including Messenger and WhatsApp. Read my blog on how to avoid frustrations and minimize negative effects of this Retrograde. What is Productive Inaction?

June 25 – July 1 ䷳

Sun’s Transit in Gate 52

Standing Still

Preparing for New Beginnings

This week’s energy is about reflection through sitting still and observing your own inner and outer patterns in order to analyze, utilize and perfect them. This week is also a great time to creating strategies for your future, planning and setting goals.

This week brings closure to our mental dilemmas of finding meaning in our past experiences, especially for the yang (masculine) energy that is going through a big transition right now.

Often we can find that our decisions are not really our own, but decisions and choices made based on the pressures of the external forces and people. Many times these dysfunctional patterns are rooted far back in our past years of survival and personal traumas. This week’s energies can bring the pressure to express these experiences and to share your personal stories with others. This can invoke thinking and discussions about the lessons you learned during your process of reflection. The Sun in Gate 52 also brings pressure to invest in future projects while finding joy in sitting still and not taking action steps.

If you have been receiving mental downloads, inspirations, and goals, this can be a very productive week of planning and coming up with the step by step action plans we well as rewards and celebrations of your past accomplishments. This could be a healthy meal, a massage, a romantic date, or a movie. Whatever it may be for you, it’s important to find moments for stillness, relaxation, and self-care. When your life is filled with stress and anxiety, it can exhaust you if you forget about your own needs.

If you sense a great need for a pause and self-reflection, this can be a great week to observe your own patterns, learn about other people patterns, and dive into learning about the complexed subjects that require focus and concentration.

If something still remains internally unprocessed, misunderstood, or forgotten in your life, immerse yourself in it and analyze your tendencies until you have clarity and full understanding of the situation. When you process a situation completely, it creates energetic closure; it lightens your spirit and allows you to focus on future tasks and goals. This can be incredibly productive and liberating, although it doesn’t feel enjoyable at the moment. If you don’t process things properly, you continue to carry them around with you like a heavy bag that weights you down.

This can be a great week to analyze your fears and internal blocks that hold you back from experiencing your Higher Self. The upcoming Solar eclipse next week sets the state for the coming months. It will shine a light on your fears and insecurities, bringing a desire to find new ways of being and to provoke change.

Stress can distort your decision-making process. There may be a tendency to become overwhelmed and have an assumption or expectation that other people care, while in fact, they don’t. Considering this transit, take your time to get to know people before you give them your money or your power over something that is means a lot to you.

You might miss the warning signs or you ignore them completely because someone may ‘appear skillful or capable’ to manage your resources and consider your interests. Allocate extra time this week to do your homework, research, analyze, and evaluate all options.

Stillness is an essential part of every natural cycle in Nature and it’s here for a reason. This week you may become impatient and tempted to take shortcuts that won’t work long-term.

If you are in a romantic relationship, it can be wise to take things slow and to not jump into conclusions. Remember, there will be a time in the future for you to reconcile with someone who previously rejected or didn’t recognize you for who you are in a personal or business relationship. If your ex is calling you and wants to connect (considering the current transit most likely it will be a man), remember he left you for a reason and he wants to reconnect for a reason. Ask the right questions and understand his motives before making a final decision.

Gate 52 transit is asking us to reevaluate and upgrade our value system. Just because someone has a demand that feels urgent to them, it doesn’t mean that it is a justified demand and you should be under pressure to deliver. Ask yourself these questions:

  • What can’t you tolerate when it comes to your current situation and other people demands?
  • What are the unhealthy demands of others that violate your inner truth?
  • What are your values and where you are not willing to compromise them?

Stress and Search for Distraction

Based on many years of observing my clients and my own energy, I realized that the energy can be easily wasted during this time period when it’s not channeled properly. If you don’t know where to channel our energy correctly now and if you can’t pause your work this week, be prepared for a major disappointment. One of the shadow frequencies of the transits is a strong urge to seek meaningless distraction. The shadow frequency of this week’s transit is stress. It can manifest itself as binge-watching on Netflix, endlessly prolonged coffee breaks in the office kitchen, drinking too much alcohol, or overeating. Watch out for these tendencies this week and try healthier approaches to dealing with stress.

The question you can ask yourself this week are:

  • What are we putting our energy into and what do you focus your attention to?
Are you doing your inner-work in stillness while observing and analyzing your patterns?
  • Do you feel pressured or stressed, and distract ourselves with the things that don’t matter, and thus missing the present moment?

Effective Use of Your Energy

  • Recognition of natural cycles of pausing and resting as a possibility to redefine your strategies, to change your approach, and to release what’s not working.
  • Opportunity to focus small things and tasks while waiting for the big things to happen.
  • Clear physical and/or emotional clutter as a preparation step for the future things/people to come into your life.

Ineffective Use of Your Energy

  • Being restless and not having the patience to pause.
  • Taking the shortcuts instead of taking time to pay attention on small details and analyze the situation from all angels.
  • Forcing things to happen and ignoring internal need to take a break (physically or mentally) despite visible signs of discomfort and/or pain.

This week can also bring inspiration through your dreams, most of which may not be to act upon. Some of these reams might be truly inspiring and worth writing for future realization. Keep your diary and a pen next to your bed to write  down these dreams as soon as you wake up.

Powerful Effects of Mercury Retrograde

retrograde

It’s not a coincidence that the largest 14-hour Facebook and Instagram outage happened during the Mercury Retrograde. On March 14, 2019 tens of thousands of people were unable to access their Instagram and Facebook accounts. This was the largest failure in the 15-year history of Facebook. This outage also affected Facebook’s apps, including Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

If you don’t know anything about the Mercury Retrograde, you may have wondered how could this happen to such large organizations.

Mercury retrograde is a phenomenon that affects everyone in a consistent way, and its effects are always consistent. Once you begin to notice how events in your life change during these planetary cycles, you can plan the important events in your life accordingly.

What is Mercury Retrograde?

Mercury is the planet located closest to the Sun. Its orbit is much shorter than Earth’s orbit. About 3 or 4 times a year, Mercury speeds past Earth, and that is when we experience a retrograde period. Imagine being in a car and another car passing your car. You could tell it was going faster than you. But if it slowed down and you then passed it, it would appear that that car was going backward.

As Mercury speeds up, it is creating an intense wind in its trail. This turbulence and turmoil Mercury creates when it retrogrades can affect what we feel on Earth in our daily lives. I always consider the following rule: “As above, so too below.” This means there is a fractal correlation between the Universe and human activities here on Earth.

Mercury Rules Communication and Intelligence

Mercury rules all types of communication, including speaking, learning, reading, researching, negotiating, listening, editing, selling, and buying. It also rules all legal contracts and agreements, as well as significant documents such as term papers, agreements, book manuscripts, deeds, contracts, leases, and wills.

All types of computer codes, shipping, transportation, and travel are under this planet’s domain. When Mercury retrogrades, these areas tend to get scrambled or go out of control.

What to Do During the Retrograde

Don’t make any important activities when Mercury is in retrograde. Nothing will be settled favorably for the future during these phases. You will find it almost impossible to follow a plan.

During a retrograde period, it is hard to get decisions from people. Even if a decision is made, it will be changed right after Mercury turns to direct motion or later.
Mercury retrograde period would not be a good time to do anything concerning communications, such as launching a new project, website, or an advertising or promotional campaign.

If you buy a house, problems could surface later that were completely unanticipated.

No one can fully predict what conditions will be like after retrograde is over. If you start a new job, it may not be the position you thought it was when you were accepting it. If you are a supervisor, you will have difficulty choosing the right candidate for the position. If you can, delay hiring anyone.

Retrograde is also considered not a good time to launch any new endeavors, even if they are not related to communication. This period is not a good time to sign any contracts or shake hands on new agreements. Postpone closing on a house during this time or signing a lease. Verbal agreements are considered the same as written. The atmosphere will be quite unpredictable, no matter what you say or what you think.

Do Not Plan Surgery When Mercury, Venus, and Mars Retrograde

At other times in life, we do have a choice about when to schedule a surgery or procedure. If you have an emergency, you must visit a doctor.
However, it is best to avoid surgery during the Mercury retrograde period. This is the period where mistakes are more likely to happen than at other times. Remember, your doctor or a surgeon is under the same conditions as you, so I would suggest rescheduling your procedure for a better time.

I would also advise to avoid plastic surgery when Venus retrogrades. Venus rules beauty, and the whole purpose of the surgery is to enhance your looks.

Mars rules the whole area of surgery, so you want Mars to be in the best possible shape as well. It is a good strategy to avoid operating on the part of the body that the sign Mars is moving through.

For example, if Mars is in Capricorn, it would not be the best time for knee surgery since Capricorn rules the knees. Having surgery performed during Mars retrograde will increase pain and swelling. A full moon at the time of the surgery may increase bleeding and swelling. Of course, if you have an emergency, don’t worry about any of these rules.

Other Important Things You Should Know

Mercury retrograde periods are notorious for causing electronics to break and for machines and appliances to show signs of damage, requiring urgent renovations and repairs. Backup your data in advance of any Mercury retrograde period. If you work in Information Technology and had planned to install new software, wait until the retrograde period is over.

Weird things happen during these periods. For example, you may suddenly realize that you were sold a defective hard laptop, even though it may never have given you problems in the past, at least not until you created an important document and your whole system suddenly went down.

Because Mercury rules the mail and the conveyance of information, be extra cautious while sending important documents. If you send an email, be sure to call the person to confirm that they received it. Otherwise, they may never see it. Be careful about whom you send email to – you don’t want to send a private email to the wrong person or have a delicate email delivered to others.

Your customer or a business partner may suddenly change direction on a project you have been working on together, which may require you to abandon some of the work you did in the past.

Miscommunications are very common during the Mercury Retrogrades. Articulate and summarize your thoughts for other people and what they told you. Go the extra mile – you will be glad you did!

Since Mercury also rules commerce, don’t buy or sell anything expensive during its retrograde periods. If you buy something expensive, such as a car or a phone, you may regret your purchase later.

If you are buying or selling a home, anticipate problems, glitches, and delays arising. The only times you can buy something expensive during a retrograde is if you are planning on returning it back to the store.

Because Mercury rules moving parts, appliances, cars, computers, technology items, and other electronics are highly susceptible to Mercury in a retrograde period. For example, you may buy a dishwasher and 3 weeks later discover it has gone on sale for much less than what you paid. Or you buy an expensive phone during a retrograde only to drop it or lose it.

Postpone Your Travel Plans During Retrograde

If you travel during a period where Mercury is in retrograde, bring extra maps or make sure you have back up GPS, and make sure you have enough gasoline. Verify that you have the correct address and clear driving instructions. Have it inspected and fixed before you leave for your trip. You don’t want a problem to surface when you are on the road.

If you are flying, check your airline company to make sure your flight is taking off on time. Have your luggage properly labeled so that it won’t get lost or sent to the wrong terminal.

It might be wise not to travel during Mercury retrograde, especially if your trip involves business. Yet, if you are returning to see a past client you’ve worked with in the past, traveling during the retrograde would not produce problems.

If you are in sales, give all your current clients special attention during these phases.

You can take personal travels for pleasure and fun during these periods. This could be a perfect time to get away from stress and work. You might want to travel to a place from your youth that you loved but haven’t visited in a long time – going back to the places you have been to is preferred.

Forgetfulness can be an issue during these phases. You are more likely to leave your passport or a smartphone somewhere rather than put it in your pocket, leave your sunglasses or gloves in the back seat of a taxi, or lock yourself out of the car. I always tape my business card on the back of my laptop or cell phone when I travel, in case one of these treasures is lost.

Mercury retrograde is notorious for creating confusion in romantic relationships as well. Partners tend to have miscommunications that can cause a domino effect. Try not to jump into judgments and assumptions. Remember, your beloved can also experience a sudden change of mind. For example, if your partner says, “I want a divorce,” he/she could say later, “I don’t really mean it!” That’s because people aren’t always thinking straight during these phases.

How to Minimize Challenges Associated with Mercury Retrograde

Each year Mercury retrogrades in three different signs of the zodiac. If it retrogrades in your personal birth sign, obstructions and difficulties will become even more obvious. In this case, try to be extra alert and confirm your assumptions, ideas, creative efforts, and other plans. Always allocate extra time to detect errors and flaws. These periods require a slow and deliberate pace.

Every year, Mercury will favor one element over another. In 2012, for example, Mercury retrograded in fire signs. This indicated that we need to apply completely new, innovative solutions to our problems. Fire signs are highly creative and pioneering – they always come up with amazing solutions. Fire signs think on a broad scale, so if you are a fire sign (Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius), you can think that way when attacking the problem, too.

Consider these periods as times when the wind is changing direction. What makes them so troublesome is that you cannot see yet that areas of your life are about to change, often fundamentally.

A Key to minimizing challenges associated with Mercury Retrograde is to learn about the qualities of each zodiac sign.

When Mercury retrogrades in one of the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn), you must be practical about finding a solution and be aware of your time or budget.

If Mercury retrogrades in one of the air signs (Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius), lots of discussions will need to take place, as air signs are highly communicative. If you were born under one the air signs, have conversations with a lot of people, get their responses, and do your research. Air signs are analytical and modern – you may discover a solution that is very new. Use the answer that appears best for you if you are using this method, and make sure you are objective and not emotional in choosing your answer.

If Mercury retrogrades in a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces), you must use your intuitive abilities. Research may say one thing, but your intuition tells you to follow your gut and chose something else. Often our emotional intelligence is more reliable. If Mercury retrogrades in your water sign, it’s an instant signal to start listening to that inner voice within.

If You Were You Born Under Mercury Retrograde

People born under this phase are said to have profound and contemplative natures that help them think through complex concepts quite creatively. Never worry about having a baby during one of these retrograde periods – it is always a good time to have a child.

Mercury’s Impending Shadow

As Mercury approaches its “shift” in direction, it will progress along a path that it will later retrace in the sky over the next few weeks. The 2-3 week period prior to Mercury retrograde is called the “impending shadow period.” If you initiate anything important during that period (in the time before Mercury begins to retrograde), you still may encounter problems.

If you have a choice whether to sign documents or initiate an action prior to Mercury retrograde or just after it is finished retrograding, I suggest you wait and act later. Try to add a little breathing space (a few days to two weeks) from the date Mercury goes direct. Waiting is always the wiser option. Always allow 2 days, minimum, after Mercury moves direct speed before you start initiating projects or making big purchases. The more time you can allow after Mercury goes direct, the better. If you can wait two weeks, it would be a wise choice.

The Purpose of the Retrograde

Although Mercury retrograde periods can be difficult, they are often necessary for our well being. They enable us to revisit, reassess, revise, and redesign our plans. Human beings have a tendency to be in a hurry without pausing and fully considering their assumptions or actions. Mercury retrograde allows us to pause, review our actions, listen, and redirect our future in order to move forward more productively. Mercury also helps us bring closure to certain situations and let go of unhealthy relationships.

Retrograde periods allow us to reconnect with old friends and relatives that can be one of the most uplifting and enjoyable parts of our lives. If your old friend or colleague calls or emails you during Mercury retrograde, there is a great reason for it. It means there is something that the two of you are meant to do together.

You can all benefit from taking a closer look at your life with greater depth, which happens when Mercury retrogrades. These periods tend to make us slow down, which at times can be a blessing and an opportunity to recharge our energy.

What Should You Do During Mercury Retrograde?

It would be a great time to organize your house or digital files.
During these times, you may find more time to get things done. When you clean your house, you will discover treasures you thought you lost or had forgotten about. It’s always a reward for finding things you have not seen in a while.

Mercury rules anything that begins with “re”, such as revisit, remodel, redo, repair, repeat, redesign, or reassess. It’s a human nature to want to experience new things, but we also need to focus on the quality of our lives and improve things that don’t work. Often this is a wise use of our energy than continually chasing after the shiny new objects. This period allows us to pay more attention and to correct our actions.

Becoming aware of Mercury retrograde periods can help you increase your productivity and bypass many unwanted frustrations they can bring into your life.

The Magic of Gratitude

fall

How often do you say “Thank you”?

These two little words may not seem exceptional on their own, but they can have an enormous impact on your mental, spiritual and physical well-being. Based on my personal experience (and according to a number of studies), gratitude can actually make you calmer, friendlier, and healthier.

When we’re preoccupied with what we don’t have (or the negative things we do have), we literally amplify and attract that energy. It’s hard to be positive when your mind is focused on lack, envy, anger, or limitation.

The best way to start building a more positive outlook is to practice gratitude. When you take a minute to remember all the good things in your life, no matter how big or small they may be, it can pay off big time for your health. Spend some time making a list of things you’re thankful for having, rather than you wish you had. You can write about things you like about your body or do a general gratitude list, or both.

It will definitely change your mood, make you feel more uplifted, and allow you to focus on the abundance of all you have! Feel free to substitute the word “grateful” with “appreciate,” if you like. Here are five ways Gratitude can bring magic in your life:

1. Gratitude Relieves Stress

When you’re feeling tired or anxious, instead of focusing on your problems and challenges, try counting your blessings instead. Simply by remembering the positive things in your own life can help boost levels of feel-good hormones, such as serotonin and dopamine. They hormones will naturally make you feel uplifted and happy!

4. Gratitude stabilizes blood pressure

Did you know that those who practice gratitude have a 16 percent lower diastolic blood pressure and a 10 percent lower systolic blood pressure than those who don’t? The effects are accumulative: more you practice gratitude, more “goodness” you will be able to see in the world around you and in other people. When you feel safe in the world, you can relax and connect with others on a deeper level.

3. Gratitude improves your sleep

Do you have a gratitude journal? The secret is to write down things you’re grateful for every night before going to bed. One study found that those who did this for a week said they had more restful nights! You can have that too! Try it and you will be surprised by this simple practice. It doesn’t have to be a long and complicated practice. If you don’t like to write, just think about things you are grateful for. It will have the same effect and will help you have a peaceful, good night sleep.

4. Gratitude strengthen your immune system

Next time you feel a cold coming on during the winter season, make a cup of tea, find a comfortable place in your house, and contemplate on appreciating the good things in your life (such as that cup of hot tea, the roof over your head, heating system in your home, and a warm blanket). It will give a boost to your immune system and help your body fight the cold.

5. Gratitude connects you to Spirit

When you focus on what you have instead of what you don’t, you’re less likely to be depressed. Gratitude keeps you focused on the present, instead of worrying about the past or the future. Realize that worrying about the future will always create anxiety. Instead, learn to accept what’s coming next and be grateful for it. Develop trust that life (God, Spirit, Universe, or Higher Consuoscess), will take care of you and create a sense of peace and awareness of divine forces of nature within you.

Here’s the example of my gratitude list. Feel free to make it yours by adding your personal touch to it:

  1. I am grateful for my body, which helped me through many challenging things throughout my life.
  2. I am grateful for my eyes, that let me see the beauty and divinity in the world.
  3. I am grateful for my legs, that help to transport me from one place to another.
  4. I am grateful for my hands, which let me write, touch objects, people and textures, and feel the energy of others.
  5. I am grateful for my feet, which take me anywhere I want to go.
  6. I am grateful for my stomach, which helps me digest food and convert it into energy so I could use this energy to work and help others.
  7. I am grateful for my husband/wife/partner and my family and friends, whose support, knows-no-bounds generosity and unconditional love mean a lot to me.
  8. I am grateful for being alive.

What about you?

Maybe you’re grateful for your kids and how your body gave birth to them. We often forget just what an amazing gift they are in our life. Maybe you’re grateful for your job or the ability to make money, provide shelter for your family, or pay your bills.

Maybe you’re grateful because you have your father’s eyes. For being in recovery from an eating disorder. For having an amazing mentor or a teacher who changed your life. For having a gorgeous smile.

It can be anything, no matter how big or how seemingly small.

Try writing a list of 10 things, and keep that list handy so you can remind yourself whenever your inner critic starts creeping in. You might also want to keep a gratitude journal and write in it several days a week.

LOVE YOURSELF!

Reach for the Stars During September New Moon

virgo blog

September New Moon Will Inspire Us to Reach for the Stars

The September 9 New Moon is happening in Virgo. Whether you realize it or not, the moon is probably affecting you in some way. The moon goes through stages, which anyone can notice simply by observing it each night. The moon’s appearance changes each night depending on its cycle and these cycles can affect us all, even if some people don’t realize it.

As we come out of this summer in which six planets were in retrograde, we are all feeling a little unstable and foggy. The energy of Virgo will help us drain that lingering brain fog and instability.

Virgo is the most perceptive, visually sensitive and resourceful signs in the zodiac. It’s season started on August 23 and will last until September 22. If you’re a Virgo – happy birthday! If you’re not a Virgo, get ready for a month of powerful and intense energy. Virgo is a sign of purity and highest values that teaches us to maintain personal integrity and intentions. Virgo is focused, efficient, sharp, and detail oriented. She can find out how to get that mystery smell out of your carpet, which frames are crooked, and which light bulbs are out.

A new moon always means the time for a new chapter, a fresh start, letting go of the old and making space for something new. It generally brings a positive energy that we should all welcome and take advantage of.  Astrologer Lisa Stardust shares: “The Virgo new moon marks a hopeful new beginning, which may be hard for some because, in order to start fresh, something has to end. This new moon, in true Virgo fashion, forces us to clean up our act, moving forward toward a truthful new beginning.”

What this means is to identify what is no longer serving you, and what you need to do in order to move forward.

New Moon represents a New Cycle. The new moon is a time of new beginnings and change. It’s the time when we usually feel motivated and encouraged to start something new and achieve our goals.  This means that when we set our intentions during September New Moon, we need to make sure they are aligned with our values.

Astrology.com suggests that the new moon rising in Virgo means that this is not only the time to start something new, but also the time to identify and let go of problems we’ve been experiencing in order to find some practical solutions. During this new moon, you’ll have a chance to think about what you need to keep so you can focus on what really matters to you. This is also a time where you can focus on sharpening your skills and think about the life-work-balance and self-care.

This means that you will have the opportunity to do something really great for yourself!

This September New Moon comes 3 days before Jupiter sextile Pluto. It’s a great opportunity to take advantage of the energy from the new moon to do something constructive because this is a time when it could pay off in a big way. This new moon may help you feel more optimistic, self-confident and focused on the future goals.

New Moon in Virgo – Focus on Self-Care

spa salon

Virgo is an intellectual problem solver, fixer, organizer, and analyst. The sign has a true desire for everything to be as perfect as possible. Other qualities of Virgo is a healer and humanitarian. AstroStyle shares: “Virgo is the sign of selfless service,” so when a Virgo’s penetrating eye for detail notices a flaw or inefficiency, they want to fix it because it’s genuinely for the greater good.

The new moon symbolizes beginnings, so if you want to align your own life with the lunar cycle, it’s a good time to begin new projects and endeavors. Over two weeks after a new moon, the light of the moon will be increasing until it reaches it’s the brightest potential – a full moon.

The energy of having a new moon in Virgo this September brings a slightly different opportunity. According to Tarot.com, a Virgo new moon “is different in that we don’t plant new seeds; instead, we try to figure out what to do with what we’ve harvested.”

So rather than starting a new project, look at how you can utilize or repackage what you already have. It’s still a new beginning, but there’s no need to start from scratch — intelligent and efficient Virgo wants you to work with what you already have for its new moon. In simple terms, it says: turn your own lemons into lemonade.

Every Project Must Have a Solid Plan

Astrologer Jennifer Racioppi shares, “The Virgo new moon calls us back to a deliberate mind that has its eye on the details.”. Virgo is a sensible and grounded earth sign. As per North Star Astrology, “The New Moon in Virgo is the time to listen to your ‘gut’ instincts,”  “Stop wasting mental energies worrying about what you can not change … analyze how your problem-solving skills can best be put to use.”

So how can you best take advantage of this new moon? Focus in on Virgo’s areas of influence:

  • Focus on humanitarian work, career, health, and service-oriented efforts.
  • Organize your workspace or office so you can channel your energy toward your career or business goals most effectively.
  • Take charge of your health by cleaning up your diet, creating your exercise routine, or establishing better mental health habits.
  • Get your living space in order. Virgo pays attention to detail, and house cleaning is an excellent opportunity to work through Virgo transits. When your home or office is orderly and clean, you’ll have more mental clarity and bring efficiency in other areas of your life. A clean house can do wonders for your mental and emotional health.
  • Bring excellence into your existing projects. Reevaluate all that you have, acknowledge, and make a plan to build something new and better.

The Hood Witch advises that Virgo new moons are a time when “women are mentally very active, however, there may be tendencies to focus on excessive criticism of oneself as well as others.” Try to let go of Virgo seriousness and remember to lighten up. Use this Virgo’s critical eye to uplift yourself and others, instead of being overly critical and “too perfect”.

Take Advantage of Virgo New Moon

If you want to utilize Virgo’s energy, allocate some extra hours for yourself this September, practice patience with friends and family, and adopt new personal self-care habits.

Practice Self-Care

As you are on the way out of the summer season, a new self-care routine will help you transition into fall. Taking self-care seriously this fall is going to be essential in building a strong foundation for the year ahead. Try a new experience, a new type of exercise, experiment with new foods that rebuild your mind and body. The best start for Virgo season is to get a refreshed good night step.

Connect with the Earth

While you might have enjoyed a summer experience, you’ll need to ground your energy in order to flourish this Fall. Take your shoes off and put your feet in the sand, water, or dirt, connect your body to Mother Earth in some way. Whether this means for you, walking barefoot, drumming, or meditating, it’s important to practice grounding as Virgo season invites us to connect to our beautiful planet.

Unleash Your Creativity

Engage in a project that inspires you and notice how this will expand your life. Be patient – positive effects of this creative energy might not be immediately noticeable. Channeling your energy into new, exciting ventures will fuel your passion. The Virgo energy will keep you focused and committed, which is what you need to stay inspired and on track.

Make Money and Save for the Rainy Day

The Virgo season will help you increase your income. While you might be tempted to spend the money on a new fall wardrobe, consider the future and save or invest your money wisely. Create a good start for the rest of the year by being practical and mature when it comes to your finances and make sure that you allocate money for a rainy day and emergencies.

Switch Roles

While you might be encouraged to be a leader, remember that there’s always something to learn from other people. Take a break from constantly showing the way, and listen to what the people are saying. If you’re the one who’s always doling out advice to your friends and co-workers, give them a chance to return the favor. Don’t be afraid to ask a friend or a relative for advice or for their opinion. This reversal of your primary role will help to strengthen your relationships and creates stronger connections with other people. There’s so much to learn from others, and asking them for advice is a great way to show how much you value their experience and wisdom.

Create Deeper Connections

Virgo’s energy will help you nurture your relationships. If you’re not in a relationship, you may feel inspired to have a partner! As Virgo’s energy will help with increasing your focus and efficiency at work, you’ll have more time for romance. While it can be challenging to be there for your partner and also carrying for yourself, this month it will make it easier to do both.

If you allow yourself to learn from Virgo season’s influences, you can take the spirit with you into the rest of the year.

I begin Virgo New Moon by offering the Human Design Workshop-Series, where I share with you a profound knowledge that will help you realize your natural talents and energetic blueprint… It starts on September 9 in Red Bank, NJ. What is this Aquarian Age?

Acquarius

Being born under the sign of Aquarius, I have been feeling the shift that occurred in my life since 2011. At that time, I wasn’t able to understand what was happening to me and why. in March 2011 I felt a strong desire to move into a new place, disconnect from my old relationships, and start a new career in Healing Arts. As I was emerging myself into learning about complex planetary cycles and a Human Design System, I was able to understand what these shifts meant and that they were happening not only in my life, but for the entire humanity. In this article, I wanted to explore and demystify the shifts in our consciousness associated with transition into the Age of Aquarius and provide tips for moving through this fascinating and challenging time with grace and ease.

What Triggered Aquarian Age?

In 1781 the planet Uranus, the ‘ruling’ planet of Aquarius, was discovered by the astronomer, Herschel. If you look at the history of the world since 1781, you will notice that our practices and our consciousness considerably shifted. The energetic effects we experience with the shift from the Age of Pisces to Aquarius is a movement away from dogmas to logic and science. The quality of the Aquarian Age can be summarized in a single word “Synthesis.”

The Aquarian Age will continue for the next 2000 years. As per Santokh Singh Khalsa, the official beginning of this age is November 11, 2011. Some sources have set this date as December 21, 2012. Regardless of which date is more accurate, as a result of this evolution, we are experiencing dramatic changes.

Many people don’t care if they are a Pisces, or a Gemini, or what their moon or rising sign is. Transition into the Aquarian age is significant because it changes the conditions for our planet. And every human on planet Earth has been and will be affected by this shift. Let’s examine this period and see how it impacts our lives.

The Age of Pisces has been characterized by hierarchy and power. The key phrase for this age was a statement from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “To be or not to be.” If we decode this statement in the context of Age of Pisces, this means that in order to make a successful and happy life, you needed to find someone or something to believe in.

The key lesson of this period is this: “When I find something I can believe in, I attach myself to that “thing” and rely on its guides for my decision making, my work, my relationships, and my beliefs.” This could be a political view, a religion, a leader, a guru, work, etc. During that time, the secrets to the truth of how life works were hidden in the monasteries and ashrams. You didn’t need to know these secrets as long as you followed leaders, gurus and other guides without questioning their authority and expertise. As a result, we created vertical hierarchies and it was essential for each of us to find our own place in these hierarchical systems. Our parents and grandparents have spent a lot of time and energy to get to the “top” of these hierarchies in order to gain power, authority, financial freedom, etc.

This system has been the basis for human consciousness for the past 2000 years. Going back 2000 years, everything that children learned from their parents and grandparents, has been colored by this Piscean frame of consciousness. And now that system is falling apart.

Beginning of Aquarian Age

The New Aquarian Age is associated with expansion, sharing, networking, and information. The keynote for this age is “TO BE” and the phrase associated with the astrological sign Aquarius is “I KNOW.” We are currently in the age of information where we don’t have secret anymore. All information is available at your fingertips, anytime and anywhere. Where the Piscean age was organized in a vertical, up and down structure of hierarchies, the Aquarian Age is organized in a horizontal system, opening the world up to equality, transparency, authenticity, self-expression, sharing, and open communication.

The focus is no longer on your identity and belief system (“believe or not to believe”), but on accepting yourself as a whole person (“be yourself”) who has a right to openly express his/her desires and needs. The essence of this period is releasing a need to believe in something outside of yourself, and willingness to accept that you have the knowledge, inner-guidance, and wisdom within yourself. It is no longer necessary to attach to something outside yourself, but to become a self-guided, self-empowered, self-sustained individual.

With this understanding of how we operate in this new environment, it is easier for us to realize what has been happening in the world over the last 50 years. On the personal level, since the 1960’s, there has been a huge emphasis on the personal transformation: self-improvement movement, yoga, meditation, tai chi, self-awareness tools, complimentary medicine, energy healing, organic food, etc. We also have experienced a major increase in mental illnesses: anxiety, stress, depression, suicide, and drug abuse, both pharmaceutical and recreational.

On the external level, we have seen many shifts: environmental consciousness, civil rights, women’s rights, global consciousness, and gay rights. On the other side of the spectrum, we have also seen the rise of the terrorism, racism, fundamentalism, xenophobia (the fear of the “other”), and huckstering.

This shift is bringing out the best and the worst in us. Many of us are responding by opening our hearts and minds and embracing this new age. Some people are intimidated by the changes because they don’t understand what’s happening with them and around them. They chose to ignore it, hoping to return to a “golden age” in the past, or surround themselves with those who are like themselves.

If you are struggling with finding your place in this shifting world, please understand that transformation is never a painless process. When you fast or cleanse to purify your body, you feel worse at first, because toxins in the body get disturbed in order to be removed. Once these poisons have been eliminated, you feel lighter and more energized. Every person on planet Earth is now going through this purification process. We are experiencing a time of radical change. It is our time of big potential growth and expansion, but it is also a time of great potential pain and suffering. The greater your understanding of what is happening, the easier it will be for you to go through all of the changes without losing your stability and balance.

Here are my suggestions to help you make this transition easier and painless:

1. Have your own daily spiritual practice or a ritual. Every spiritual tradition has one thing in common – a daily ritual: exercise, yoga, meditation, prayer, contemplation, chanting, writing, creating art, etc. The important part of this practice is to do it with intention to let go of your blocks (or shadows) and focus on your conscious intentions. Meditation and learning about your Human Design are the most powerful tools that I have found, but you must find your own and collect the tools for your own toolbox.

2. Disconnect from negative emotions, such as fear, aggression, and anger. Social Media, environment, politics, and terrorism can trigger many of these negative emotions. If you understand that they are all symptoms of the Aquarian shift, then you can go through them without losing yourself. If you feel that your emotional state changes after watching TV or being with certain types of people, disengage and allocate time to be alone. You may unplug from the world by walking in nature, journaling, or simply contemplating your thoughts.

3. Stop being a victim. Remember that you always have the power to change your life. Don’t give that power away to anyone through resentment or blame. Remember, that you are responsible for your own happiness and satisfying your own needs is your job. The Aquarian Age is all about empowerment and consciousness. Learn about your needs, your passions, and your deepest desires. Once you connect with your needs, take action steps to satisfy them. Give up the idea that you need something or someone to give you fulfillment – it’s the goal of the marketing industry to make you believe that you need some product or a service in order to fulfill your spiritual needs.

4. Inspire others. The more people who consciously choose to embrace the Aquarian Age, the easier this transformation will go for all of us. A small percentage of people who have shifted their consciousness influence the rest of us. Find a way to spread your light using your gifts and talents. Inspire, heal, teach, serve those in need, support your community while loving what you do. Welcome to the Aquarian Age!

Human Design System (HDS), which came into being in 1987, is a modern-day tool that provides all the instructions we need in order to live in this Aquarian Age. It teaches you how to manage our own energy as an individual and how to interact with others without resistance. HDS is also a system of differentiation that empowers you on an individual level. It synthesizes modern science, including physics, epigenetics, astrophysics, and 4 of the great esoteric systems: Astrology, I-Ching, Kaballah and the Chakra system. Instead of being a railroad car that is started by an engine, you will learn how to become your own engine based on your own strategy and authority.

How to Turn Unexpected Situations Into Opportunities

How to turn unexpected situations into opportunities?

Let’s face it, life’s full of unexpected surprises and unexpected events. This sometimes may interrupt our daily routine or shift our emotional state very quickly. Some of these surprises might be good and some of them: not so good. Sometimes they are life shaking, causing difficulties and irreversible problems in our lives.

Most people are taught that being in control is a good thing, as it gives a sense of security and safety. Therefore, we’ve learned to arrange our lives in a way where everything is predictable and familiar. We follow the same routine, eat the same kinds of food, have the same types of jobs and experiences, meet the same circle of family and friends, and avoid things we’re not familiar with.

We feel safer in familiar places without interruptions or changes in our daily lives. Attachment causes us to cling to the familiar and creates fear of letting go.

But how do you react to surprises and unexpected events?

  • Do you panic or become stressed?
  • Do you get flustered or angry?
  • Do you hide or “run away” from a situation?

Many people actually find it difficult to cope not only with negative experiences but also with positive ones. For example:

  • You want to make a cup of coffee but discovered that you ran out of coffee.
  • When you arrive at the bus or train station in the morning, you found out that the bus or train will be delayed and you will be late to work.
  • You arrive at a party and noticed your best friend’s talking to someone you dislike.

The truth is, life is full of surprises and unexpected turns that are outside of your control. If this causes you anxiety and stress or affects your moods and behavior, you need to do something about it. Why? Because chronic stress leads to physical or mental illness if you don’t know how to handle it effectively.

Even if you live the same kind of life, doing the same habitual things day after day, there could be unexpected situations. The best way to handle these situations is to be prepared for them. Below are 10 proven tips to help you handle any unexpected changes effectively (and how to turn these into opportunities fast!).

10 Tips for Turn Unexpected Situations Into Opportunities

1. Try to accept the fact that unexpected situations are part of life and are unavoidable. Change is part of life, and the sooner you acknowledge and accept this fact, the better you will feel. When you accept this to some extent, it will be easier for you to deal with anything that happens in your life.

2. Focus only on what you have a control over and stop focusing on what’s outside of your control, such as weather, politics, religious views that are not aligned with yours, other people, food that your family members eat, etc. Instead, focus on controlling your own behavior and learn ways to make yourself feel good naturally. It will release energy that you use to control something outside of yourself and focus your energy on doing something you enjoy.

3. When making your plans, always have an alternative plan, in case the first plan fails. This would prevent you from feeling helpless, fearful, and not know how to proceed.

4. Practice mindful assessment of a situation. If you have a tendency to get angry or panic, evaluate the situation using common sense and logic. In many cases, this could be something of minor importance that is easy to fix, but your body is simply overreacting because it’s unexpected. Recognize this pattern and use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) or other techniques to calm down your body’s fight and flight response.

5. If what happened is irreversible, recognize that becoming angry, stressed or panicking is not going to change anything. Remember that your emotional state creates the instant physical response in your body by releasing stress hormones, including adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones, if released on regular basis, are very addictive and poisonous to your body. They make your body age and die faster. Just this fact alone is enough to make you stop, think, and act differently.

6. Introduce small changes into your life to teach your body that change is unavoidable. This will help you deal more easily with surprises and events that are outside of your control. For example:

  • Do things that you usually do, but in a different way.
  • Take a different route to your work instead of driving on autopilot.
  • Eat a different breakfast.
  • If you are a coffee drinker, try to drink tea or a protein shake in the morning.
  • Meet someone new and show a genuine interest while speaking with them.

7. Try to focus on the present moment and take advantage of new opportunities that come your way. Instead of thinking about what you lost or dwelling on how bad the situation is, focus on what would make you happy in this moment of your life.

8. Build your willpower. Willpower creates inner strength and stability. It helps you have better control of your mind, your body, and your actions so that you can better deal with any situation. You can develop willpower and self-discipline by challenging yourself to do things you don’t normally do, by doing something outside of your comfort zone, and by doing things that are good for you, for example:

  • Don’t eat sweets at the networking event or at a party while everybody else is enjoying them.
  • Take a cold shower in the morning when you feel like staying in a warm bed.
  • Go for a ran when you feel like sitting on a couch and watching TV.

9. Practice meditation. Just 15 minutes of meditation every day can make a great change in your life, making you feel relaxed and unaffected by the events in your life. A certain amount of inner peace is most welcome in every situation, and meditation is one of the best ways leading to inner peace.

10. Learn about your yourself and your own passions. What makes you jump out of bed every morning? Do you have a passion that makes your soul sing? Are you inspired by an idea, an object, or a person?

The last 2 tips require some training in order to be able to use them. Since surprises, changes, and unexpected events are part of life, it would be very useful if you train yourself, and develop skills that would be of great help in facing unexpected situations.

If you’re earnest in your desire to connect with your passions and develop inner peace, I highly recommend that you download and read my free e-book “How To Create A Passion Driven Business That Attracts Best Customers And Helps You Thrive.”
